Halloween Owl Card

My neighbour asked me last minute to make a Halloween card for her to send to her
grandkids in America.
She had tried various shops around town but had no luck in finding one.
Of course I agreed but then I ran into the little problem of not actually having ANY Halloween card making supplies and not having anytime to purchase any either.
I'm quite happy with how it turned out and the more important thing is so was my neighbour.

REVIEW: Ren Cleansing Gel & Day Cream

I was anxious to try the Hydra-Calm Cleansing Gel and Hydra-Calm Global Protection Day Cream by Ren. I had tried the Ren Beauty Balm and liked it a lot but wanted to give the sensitive skin range a go.

Boots Bargain Haul

I'm calling this my boots Bargain Haul because these are the goodies I got in their 3 for 2 promo that they had on recently.

The promo was over all the make-up ranges and the haircare ranges and they're mix and match through out the ranges so there was BRILLIANT value to be had.
I stocked up on some of my favourite products and also picked up some that were new to me that I had wanted to try but hadn't gotten around to purchasing yet.

Also this wasn't all in one trip. I paid 2 visits while the promo was on. Anyway this was what I picked up
Let's take a closer look shall we?

First up I got my "go to" foundation. I have been using Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid for quite a while now and love it. That ended up being my freebie product out of these three as it was the cheapest. The primer I spotted and wanted to try (I've never had it before) and the brush set seemed like such good value.
Next up I got my go to shampoo & conditioner. I love Aussie shampoo but this is a new one that I haven't had before. I also got a Revlon lip butter. I have 2 other Revlon lip butters that I'm not crazy about so we'll see if I get on any better with this one.
More Maybelline goodies.  I've heard so much about the colour tattoo's that I was dying to try one. This isn't the colour I wanted but the best out of the ones they had. I love the colour of the lip gloss so I can't wait to try that out and the last Maybelline mascara I had I loved (not sure why I didn't pick it up again) but I decided to try a different one this time.
SO much talk about the Barry M Nail Gelly Nail Paints that I just HAD to get them and I picked up the lip gloss as my freebie but made a mistake with the colour. This WASN'T the one I tested but it was in the space for it and I picked it up without paying too much attention. I had a look when I went back the second time but they were out of the colour I wanted ;-(
The next 3 things I picked up were the Rimmel ScandelEyes Eye Liner (been hearing good things about this), the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and another Barry M Gelly Nail Paint ;-}
Finally the last lot of 3 for 2's that I got were these Rimmel goodies. I wanted to try out this Match Perfection Foundation. I've seen a lot of people online talking about how good it is and a friend of mine says she swears by it too and her skin always looks great. I do love my Maybelline Foundation (as I said) but sometimes it's good to switch it up a bit. And I just HAD to try the Apocolips Lip Lacquers.
These wipes weren't part of the 3 for 2 offer but they WERE half price which made them good value. I wouldn't pay full price for them (they were over €4 at full price) and to be honest I only wanted them for removing eye make up but at half price I thought they were good value.
And finally I spotted these and fell in love with them. They weren't on offer but were so cute. They're called Jelly Tot Earrings. Don't they look JUST like Jelly Tots?

So that's my Boot Bargain Haul. Did you manage to grab any bargains while Boots had this great promo on? Please let me know in the comments below if you did. I'd love to know.
I am now on a beauty ban for the next 6 months! After this little lot I doubt I'll need to pick anything up for that length of time LOL

Expect lots of reviews of these products as soon as I've gotten around to trying them out.

Are there any products above that you're really anxious to know about? Let me know and I'll test them out first.

Gorjuss Craft Haul

So I went shopping 2 weekends ago with my friend Ber and we happened to wander into the Art & Hobby shop.
I had been looking at the new Docrafts Gorjuss range online and wanted to pick up a few bits. I absolutely LOVE Gorjuss stuff but I wanted to have a look at it in reality and touch it and make my choices so off we went into the Art & Hobby shop and this is what I ended up purchasing.

I actually ended up getting a few more bits than planned (isn't that always the way? ;-})

First thing I picked up was this gorgeous stamp set. There are 4 different types in the collection but I had limited myself to one (having said that I may end up getting some more of these in the future ;-})

I got this one which is called "I Gave You My Heart". How pretty is she?
The next thing I picked up was this paper pack. They're 6x6 papers and there's 32 sheets in the pack, 2 sheets of each design. I need paper like a hole in the head, but there you go!
I absolutely LOVE the packaging on these because it's reusable. On the inside of the packaging you get printed toppers.
I also wanted to pick up the March/April "Creativity" Mag because it came with free Gorjuss buttons plus the mag is really good and such a bargain at €3.50.
Seeing as most craft mags these days are nearly €8 I love that they've managed to keep this one at a good price and that they nearly always give a great free gift.
I was in my local Easons recently and spotted last months "Creativity" mag priced in there at €7 ;-o
It was exactly the same as the one that I had purchased in A&H earlier in the month with the same free stamps. The only difference was that it was in a plastic bag. So DO NOT buy it in Easons!
Another thing that was on my list of must buys was this gorgeous Owl stamp!
It's the only thing I bought that wasn't part of the Gorjuss collection and I was keeping my fingers firmly crossed that they would have it.
So that was the end of what was on my list of stuff to purchase but somehow these other bits fell into my basket as well!
This 12 pk of A6 cards and envelopes. There are 6 designs (2 of each) and OMG the envelopes are SO cute. The inside of the packaging also has toppers like the paper pack!
And seriously how gorjuss are these brads and little pack of mini notelets?
I couldn't leave them behind {blush}
That's IT!
I think I did pretty well. I LOVE everything I got and now that I have them photographed and up on the blog I can't wait to use them. I have SO many ideas buzzing around in my head. I'll be sure to share what I make with them, so keep an eye out for that.

Oh and we also went into Boots so I'll share what I got there over the next few days! (I just need to take pics)
Seriously if you can get yourself into Boots over the next week or so DO.
They have a 3 for 2 mix and match across ALL the lines of cosmetics and haircare, so it really is worth a visit to stock up (like I did) or to try out new things.

Until next time

Penney's / Primark Mini Haul

I have never done any haul posts before but I was shopping a couple of weeks ago and picked up a few quick things in Penny's (that's Primark to those of you that don't live in Ireland) and I thought you'd like to see what I got

As I said it's a "mini" haul and I only picked up a few quick bits. I actually went in because I wanted to get a new make-up bag and I found this gorgeous one for €3. Animal print is not my thing but I fell in love with this when I saw it. SO pretty!
Then OF COURSE I spotted some scarves. My scarf addiction has taken over from what used to be a handbag addiction but you know I don't mind because I DO actually wear them. And now I try to look out for different colours to match different outfits. Somehow this time I ended up getting a lot of navy !

Konjac Sponge Review

If like me you have super sensitive skin then these little wonders are just what you need.
I saw these over on the Beauty Emporium website back in October and decided to give them a whirl.
They come in a few different varieties but I decided to try out the original/natural one and the charcoal version that was recommended for spotty skin (because unfortunately my skin still suffers breakouts every now and then, though nothing like I used to have when I was younger)
